Slimbuterol - What
is Banaba Leaf?
Banaba is an Asian
medicinal plant that contains a triterpenoid compound, corosolic
acid, which regulates the levels of sugar and insulin in the blood.
Fluctuations in blood sugar and insulin are related to appetite and
hunger, particularly cravings for carbohydrates such as bread and
sweets. An interesting "side-effect" of tighter control of blood
sugar and insulin levels is a significant tendency of Banaba to
promote quick weight loss (an average of 2-4lbs per month), without
significant dietary changes.
Slimbuterol - What
is Gymnema Sylvestre?
Gymnema is an Asian
plant whose name means "sugar killer" in Sanskrit. Gymnema
suppresses glucose absorption and reduces sugar cravings. This
powerful leaf extract contains Gymnema acids, which are known to
suppress the transport of glucose from the intestine into the blood
stream and a small protein, gurmar, that can interact with receptors
on the tongue to decrease the sensation of sweetness in many foods.
This dual action has been shown to reduce blood sugar and
cholesterol levels in diabetic animals and humans and may provide
some benefits in terms of regulating appetite control and food
cravings. In fact, recent scientific studies have isolated at least
nine different fractions of Gymnema acids which possess hypoglycemic
activity. Gymnema also increases the effectiveness of insulin. As
with other natural ingredients for control of blood sugar and
insulin levels, such as Banaba leaf, a common "side effect" is quick
weight loss, due to a combination of appetite suppression and
control of food cravings (especially for carbohydrates and sweets).
Slimbuterol - What
is Synephrine?
Synephrine is the
main "active" compound found in the fruit of a plant called Citrus
aurantium. Synephrine is a mild stimulant, providing an energy
boost, suppressing appetite and increasing metabolic rate and
caloric expenditure. Synephrine does not have the negative central
nervous effects of ma huang (ephedra) or caffeine. |
